Drake Seduces the UK

DRAKE

After a years wait for one of 2010 hottest rappers, Drake finally hit British soil, and needless to say, the crowd of mostly infatuated ladies were highly infused. Drake brought his “Thank Me Later Tour” to London’s Hammersmith Apollo in the last week. Some diehard fans bought their tickets as early as April 2010 for the original November date, however due to cancellation, the Canadian rapper made sure his fans were satisfied.

Drizzy – as he’s also known – told little funny stories about his life while performing. The rapper even told the crowd about some of his sexual preferences, just as he ease in to his verse from Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” (no RiRi wasn’t there, but the crowd didn’t seem to mind.) He brought a few friends along for extra sparkle such as rising rapper, J Cole, who is newly signed to Jay Z’s Rock Nation label. For a newbie, J certainly had a large following, with the audience reciting his words back to him, he looked quite chuffed.

All in all, the 24 year old left his heart on the stage, performing tracks like “Best I Ever Had” and “Successful” from his mixtape “So Far Gone” to most of his tracks current platinum selling album, “Thank Me Later.” For the standard Drake delivered on his UK Tour, 2011 looks very promising for this rising star.
