Oscar winner Paltrow’s Bajan roots

Guess who has Bajan roots.
Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow traced her roots back to her great great grandmother who was born in Barbados.

Paltrow jetted into the island in a quest to uncover her family history for an episode of NBC’s hit TV series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ airing tonight on NBC at 8.

Cameras follow the Hollywood star on her emotional journey to trace her relatives. During her visit Paltrow soaked up the Caribbean sun with her two children last month during a break from filming a US documentary to trace her ancestors.

  1. Caribbean people are known all over the world for their music and cricket. The Caribbean islands have produced a lot of legendary singers who have left their mark on world music and can never be forgotten. Bob Marley is the name that occurs to anyone, without fail, when people talk about this type of music. After his sad demise, Ziggy Marley, his son took over the task of producing Reggae from him. Reggae, is a genre that is liked by everyone. this type can be divided into various genres primarily African, European, Indian and native influences. It is a synthesis of all of the above.
